The Presidential Administration of Ukraine has announced a state visit by Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko to Poland on December 17-18.

"On December 17-18, the president will go to Poland with a state visit," Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly said in Kyiv on Monday.

According to him, decisions related to local border traffic will be made as a part of the visit. Particularly they concern the number of populated areas in Ukraine involved in the border traffic.

The issues of Ukrainian students receiving education in Poland and brining Ukrainian infrastructure in line with European standards will be discussed as well.

"A separate decision will be made regarding the cooperation in the local self-administration reform in Ukraine," he said and pointed out that Polish experience in this regard was of interest for Ukraine.

A visit by the Ukrainian president to the dislocation of Combined Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade is currently being planned as well. "Thus the issue of military-technical cooperation and security will be an important part of this visit," Chaly said.
