Ukraine is interested in the meeting of the three-party contact group on the situation in eastern Ukraine being held as soon as possible, Valeriy Chaly, deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, said.

"The stability of the negotiation process gives us grounds to hope that we can achieve a result. We are interested in this meeting being held as soon as possible," Chaly told a briefing on Monday.

"Literally last weekend, the president of Ukraine had negotiations with French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which addressed the next steps to hold a meeting of the three-party contact group," he said.
