EU-Ukraine Association Agreement may enter into force by end of 2015 - Chaly
The Ukrainian presidential administration hopes that the Association Agreement with the European Union may fully enter into force by the end of 2015.
"This [pace of ratification] gives us a chance to hope that the ratification of the Association Agreement will take not several years, as predicted by some experts. Perhaps we will even manage to reach its full entry into force by the end of next year," deputy head of the presidential administration Valeriy Chaly said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
Chaly recalled that the inauguration meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council is held on Monday and in this context it is important not to delay the enactment f the association agreement. "Eleven EU countries have now ratified the agreement," he said.
Chaly said Ukraine is actively working on ensuring that the document can take effect as soon as possible.
