Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed the head of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources, Dmytro Kaschuk.
The decision was stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 1201-r of December 10, 2014, the text of which has been posted on the government's website.
Kaschuk was dismissed at his own request, reads the document.
In addition, the government dismissed Oleksandr Nastasenko from the post of Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine in connection with his transfer to another job.
As reported, Kaschuk had headed the service since May 2014.
The State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources drafts and implements state policy in the field of geological exploration and rational subsoil use.
