People's Front proposes increasing state budget revenue by confiscating Yanukovych's property
The national budget's revenue can be increased by confiscating the property of criminals convicted in absentia, who are currently hiding from law enforcement agencies and the courts, the head of People's Front has stated.
"All factions will provide detailed proposals for this idea. We also have proposals. This concerns the expansion of the budget's revenue", Head of the People's Front faction Oleksandr Turchynov said.
The politician noted that the previous parliament passed the law, which allows courts to judge criminals, fleeing from justice, in absentia.
"To this end, the Prosecutor General's Office and our courts should start imposing sentences to Yanukovych and his team, the criminals who laundered billions of budget money. This is a resource comparable to the IMF loan," the official stressed.
