Yatseniuk: Total amount of Ukraine's lawsuits against Russia exceeds $1 trillion
The total amount of the international lawsuits filed by Ukraine against Russia now exceeds $1 trillion, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
Presenting the program of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Yatseniuk recalled that Ukraine has filed two lawsuits against Russia with the European Court of Human Rights. "Russia has to compensate Ukraine for the damage done by the illegal annexation of Crimea and the military aggression," he said.
Yatseniuk also said Ukraine has begun the process for filing a lawsuit against Russia with the UN International Court of Justice, accusing Russia of violating the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
