NCCR proposes banning routing of international voice traffic via Russian number resources in Crimea
The National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) has proposed that telecommunications operators are banned from routing international voice telephony and mobile communications traffic via international and mobile commutation centers located in Ukraine in the formats of Russian phone numbers to use them on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The press service of the commission reported that at a meeting of the commission on December 9 the draft decision was passed.
The amendments are aimed at protecting Ukraine's state interests, in particular, in the area of economic and national security, consumers rights, telecom services and were made, taking into account applications of the State Emergency Service, telecom operators and other market participants," the commission said.
The document will be published for public discussion on the commission's official website.
