Supreme Court of Ukraine should become highest judicial authority - premier
The government has initiated the introduction of amendments to the Ukrainian constitution that would foresee a three tier court system in Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated.
"We're initiating [introducing] the amendments into the Constitution, in particular, an introduction of a three-stage court system, where the Supreme Court of Ukraine will finally obtain the right of the highest judicial authority in Ukraine, as is foreseen by the Constitution" the premier said during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
