Russian convoy with humanitarian aid to Donbas departs from Noginsk for Rostov region
A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry convoy carrying humanitarian aid to Donbas has departed from the Moscow region for the Rostov region, ministry spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax on Tuesday.
"A convoy of Russian Emergency Situations Ministry trucks with humanitarian cargo onboard left Noginsk in the Moscow region for the Rostov region at approximately 6 a.m. Moscow time today. It [convoy] consists of about 40 trucks," he said.
This is just a part of the humanitarian convoy for Donbas to be formed in the Rostov region, Drobyshevsky added. "Humanitarian trucks are also headed to the Rostov region from Astrakhan, Tver, Taganrog, Krasnodar, Voronezh and other regions," the ministry spokesman continued.
The convoy will comprise over 120 trucks, which will bring more than 1,200 tonnes of food and prime necessities to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, he said.
That would be the ninth humanitarian convoy for Donbas. Eight convoys have delivered more than 10,700 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Donetsk and Luhansk since August 11.
