Over 1,250 Ukrainian servicemen killed in hostilities in Donbas – Ukrainian president
The combat activities in eastern Ukraine have claimed the lives of 1,252 Ukrainian servicemen, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"As many as 1,252 soldiers have been killed and nearly 3,000 injured. Aggression has forced hundreds of thousands people to displace. Hundreds of thousands of people on the occupied territory are starving, and we cannot help them, as they are staying on the terrorist-control territories," Poroshenko said at a meeting with servicemen at an airfield in Chuhuyiv, the Kharkiv region, on Saturday.
