New government is a team of professionals and technocrats - Finance Minister Jaresko
Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has said that a newly formed government is ready to work and cope with the challenges facing Ukraine, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers has reported.
"The current composition of the Cabinet of Ministers is a team of professionals and technocrats. We are going to work," she said at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada after the formation of the new government.
She said that the team was set to bring changes to the country in order to "improve transparency and eliminate corruption."
Jaresko said that she had lived in Ukraine for 22 years and had until now headed a large company managing three investment funds.
"My experience and my understanding of the situation give me the opportunity, desire and inspiration to work for the benefit of Ukraine," she said.
