Rada to make decision on governance system decentralization in near future - speaker
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada should make a number of decisions next week, including those concerning the decentralization of the governance system and an approach toward drafting a new budget, Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman said.
"We should make a number of important decisions this month, literally next week. In particular, this concerns the governance system's decentralization and approaches toward drafting a new budget, so that territorial communities feel that they could start development in their territories self-sufficiently in 2015," Hroisman said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The Verkhovna Rada is also supposed to consider measures against corruption and ways to restore a high-quality judicial system, he said.
The Verkhovna Rada should put together a government without wasting time, Hroisman said.
The Rada will be working on Tuesday until it considers the building of a new Cabinet of ministers, he said.
