Poroshenko presents awards to 171 servicemen and law enforcers for courage
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has presented awards to 171 servicemen and law enforcement officers for their courage and heroism in defending the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, reads a statement posted on the website of the head of state on Thursday.
In particular, 147 servicemen of the Defense Ministry and 24 from the Interior Ministry were awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky (second and third degrees), the Order "For Courage" (first, second and third degrees), as well as the Order of Danylo Halytsky and medals "For Military Service to Ukraine," "For Faultless Service" (third degree), "To Defender of the Fatherland."
Twenty-three heroes were awarded posthumously.
