A plane of the Canadian Armed Forces has departed for Ukraine to deliver military aid, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said, quoting Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Vadym Prystaiko as saying.
"Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Prystaiko: a plane with Canadian military aid onboard has departed for Ukraine," the ministry tweeted on Thursday evening.
A ministry report posted on Facebook said that the military transport plane would arrive in the Kyiv Boryspil airport on November 28.
Canadian Defense Minister Robert Nicholson announced the government's decision to send $11 million worth of military aid to Ukraine on Wednesday, the ministry added.
