Yatseniuk, Biden commence negotiations – government spokesman
The meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden started in Kyiv on Friday, the government's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
A briefing for the press on the results of the meeting hasn't been scheduled.
According to the plan of the visit, in the second half of the day Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. A briefing for the press scheduled after the talks.
In these meetings, the vice president will convey his congratulations for Ukraine's successful democratic elections while also noting the need to quickly move ahead with forming a new government.
Besides, Biden will also discuss Russia's ongoing violations of the September 5th Minsk agreement.
