Kyiv Council renames part of Instytutska Street into Heavenly Hundred Heroes Avenue
Kyiv City Council has renamed a part of Instytutska Street stretching from Maidan Nezalezhnosti to Olhynska Street into Heavenly Hundred Heroes Avenue.
Eighty-five deputies voted in favor of this decision at the session of Kyiv City Council.
Only four buildings are located on Heavenly Hundred Heroes Avenue, including a pavilion with the exit from Khreschatyk metro station and Zhovtnevy Palace. Thus, there will be no issues with changing building numbers on Instytutska Street.
Meanwhile, a number of deputies, who suggested renaming the whole Instytutska Street into Heavenly Hundred Heroes Avenue was very small.
