Government will pay compensations for housing damaged in Donbas hostilities – Luhansk governor
Ukraine's government has prepared a resolution to compensate households' losses due to hostilities in Ukraine's east, Luhansk governor Hennadiy Moskal said.
Moskal on Saturday visited the region's Stanychno-Luhansky district where he examined destroyed and damaged houses in the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Makarove and Valuyske, the governor's press service reported.
"All the damages and destroyed facilities should be documented by local authorities. The government has already prepared a resolution regulating the payment of compensations to citizens for the losses they have sustained because of military operations. After it has been passed, people will get the compensations and will be able to repair or buy new housing in a safe location," he said.
"To get the compensation, one should document the damage," he said.
