German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko have discussed the Donbas situation on the phone, the Ukrainian presidential press service said on Tuesday.
"Petro Poroshenko and Angela Merkel have discussed the Donbas developments… Merkel pointed out that the Minsk agreements must be fully honored by the sides. She also said that the Ukrainian situation would be a major item on the agenda of the G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia, on November 15-16," the press service reported.
In addition, the sides discussed humanitarian aid to Donbas residents and energy security issues, the press service noted.
