NSDC says 1,052 Ukrainian soldiers killed in east since April
Five Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and another ten have been injured in the army operation area in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"Five Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and another ten have been injured as a result of shelling in the past 24 hours," he said.
A total of 1,052 Ukrainian army soldiers have been killed since fighting broke out in Ukraine's eastern regions in April, he added.
