Energy Minister Prodan summoned to Prosecutor General's Office for questioning
Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan has been summoned to the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning, the ministry press service has reported.
The minister intends to attend the questioning, the press service said.
The ministry earlier told Interfax-Ukraine that the heads of the companies Ukrinterenergo and Centrenergo had been summoned to the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning. At the same time, the companies' premises have not been searched and no documents have been seized.
ZN.UA has reported, citing a source close to the prime minister, that Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko had questioned the transparency of the scheme for supplying coal from South Africa to Ukraine at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
