NSDC does not expect offensive by militants, claims numerical superiority
The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) says the number of armed opponents of Kyiv is insufficient for mounting a major offensive against the Ukrainian army positions.
"We cannot speak about an offensive so far because the forces remaining on the Ukrainian territory are definitely insufficient for a major advance," NSDC Information and Analytical Center Spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a press briefing on Friday.
The art of war rules prescribe the party on the offensive to be four to five times stronger than the party in defense. "The terrorists do not have such an advantage now, the Ukrainian forces possess superiority," Lysenko said.
