Property of firm, not fulfilling obligations under contract on sale of Metalist stadium, arrested – official
The property of Metalist Stadium LLC, which has not fulfilled its obligations under the contract on the sale and purchase of Metalist stadium, has been arrested, Head of Kharkiv Regional Council Serhiy Chernov has said.
"According to the decision of the Economic Court, there is the resolution of the executive service for the arrest of all movable and immovable property of the potential buyer of the stadium to enforce the judgment for the payment of penalties (UAH 134.9 million)," the press service of Kharkiv Regional Council said citing Chernov.
He also noted that Metalist Stadium LLC has filed an appeal against the court ruling on the termination of the contract, but it has not been considered.
Asked who today owns Metalist stadium, Chernov said "contractual commitments for the purchase of the integrated property complex have not been fulfilled, the act has not been signed. The stadium is jointly owned by territorial communities."
As reported, on August 26 the Economic Court of Kharkiv region ruled on the suit by the deputy prosecutor of the region in the interests of the state in the face of Kharkiv Regional Council against Metalist Stadium LLC and broke the contract for the sale and purchase of Metalist stadium.
