OSCE says mission's drones were shelled, but landed successfully
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) has said that its drones were attacked on the east of Ukraine on October 29 and November 2, 2014.
"OSCE UAV was subjected to GPS jamming on 29 Oct, 3 kilometers west of Sartana. But left the area, landing safely. Numerous anti-aircraft rounds were fired at an SMM UAV on 2 Nov. But UAV left the area, landing safely," the mission said on its Facebook page.
As reported, U.S. Ambassador to OSCE Daniel Baer has reported referring to Chairman of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan that on October 29 Russian-backed militants shot down the mission's unmanned aerial vehicle.
