Russia shows no desire to implement Minsk agreements by vetoing statement by UN Security Council chair on illegal election in Donbas, says Ukrainian foreign ministry
By blocking a Friday statement of the chairman of the UN Security Council for reporters condemning the illegal election in Donbas scheduled for November 2, Russia again showed its unwillingness and non-readiness to implement Minsk agreements, one of the signers of which it is, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has stated.
According to comments posted on the ministry's Web site on Friday, October 31, the statement of the chairman of the UN Security Council confirms the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and it contains a call to all signers to implement Minsk agreements in full.
