Ukroboronprom state concern tested unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) made in Ukraine on Thursday.
The concern press service reported that test flights were conducted together with the Research Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff on the premises of the Zhytomyr Koroliov Military Institute on the orders from an interdepartmental conference of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the Defense Ministry, the General Staff and the drones' designers and manufacturers.
"Summarized results of drone testing will soon be presented for consideration of the interdepartmental commission on the military-technological cooperation policy and export control operating under the president," the report said.
According to Ukroboronprom Deputy General Director Oleksandr Stetsenko, Ukraine has the potential to build tactical and operative-tactical drones and strategic UAV may be developed in the future.
