Over half of displaced persons enrolled to receive state aid, says social policy minister
Some 70,000 displaced persons have enrolled to receive state aid, Social Policy Minister Liudmyla Denisova said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sunday.
"Actually, we can say that this is 52% of those who do not live in their habitual places of residence. You know that 430,000 persons have been registered in the centers which were created to provide accommodation services, but 135,000 persons have already returned to their habitual places of residence and these are towns under control of Ukrainian authorities," she said.
Denisova said that around 35,000 persons enrolled with the Social Policy Ministry to receive state aid – UAH 884 for persons with disabilities and UAH 442 for employable persons.
