Russia not removing its troops in Rostov region from border with Ukraine - NSDC
Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said that Russian army units are still near the border with Ukraine and are not returning to their home bases.
"We observed the beginning of the movement of Russian troops that were deployed along the Ukrainian-Russian border in Russia. They allegedly took part in military exercises, but we cannot state that they all were taken to their home bases. Most of them are in the same place," NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
As reported, on October 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to return about 17,000 Russian troops to their bases from Rostov region.
