Next trilateral meeting on gas issue set for Oct 21 – Oettinger
The next meeting of the European Union, Russia and Ukraine on the gas issue will be held in Brussels on October 21, European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger said at a press conference on Thursday.
Oettinger said that he would visit Kyiv on October 18-19 to lay the groundwork for these talks.
Oettinger also said that he and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak discussed the upcoming meeting during their recent telephone conversation.
The heads of Russian gas giant Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine will arrive in Brussels accompanied by their delegations, he said.
