Norwegian prime minister to visit Ukraine on November 18
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg will make her first official visit to Ukraine on November 18, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis has said.
"On November 18, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg will make an official visit to Ukraine, the first in the history of bilateral relations," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He noted that the Norwegian premier would be accompanied by a delegation of businessmen during her visit to Ukraine. The visit will focus on the development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of projects in the economic sector.
"An intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of the Ukrainian-Norwegian commission on trade and economic cooperation is to be signed," Perebyinis said.
In addition, Solberg will meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov.
