Rada passes law on financial monitoring

The Ukrainian parliament approved in a second and final reading on Tuesday a bill to fight money laundering, terror financing and WMD proliferation. The bill's language incorporates recommendations from FATF.

The bill also provides for formation of a federal analytic database to provide law enforcement bodies in Ukraine and other states the ability to detect, check and investigate money laundering and other illegal financial operations.
