Poroshenko: OSCE OKs to exaggerate monitoring mission up to 1,500 persons
Under the request of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, an OSCE Special Monitoring Missions (SMM) has agreed to increase a number of its observers in Donbas up to 1,500 persons.
"I addressed [to the OSCE] and received a positive response that the OSCE will increase a number of observers up to 1,500 people. Such number will help this honored European organization to fulfill its obligations on observation how the ceasefire regime is maintained and if Ukraine regains a control on the border with Russia," reads an address from the president to the Ukrainian people that was released on the presidential Web site on Sunday evening.
The president also said: "Generally speaking, we must clearly understand that if the world hadn't supported us, we would have failed to stop the incursion."
