EBRD decides to use simplified procedure for considering and funding projects for Ukraine - Yatseniuk

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has made the decision to consider and fund projects for Ukraine under a simplified procedure, including the possibility of funding the purchase of natural gas, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said at a Cabinet meeting.

"This is an unprecedented decision for the bank, when it is proposed to consider projects for Ukraine at the most simplified procedure and make decisions on financing projects. In particular, the possibility of financing the purchase of natural gas is foreseen," reads the report.

According to the department of information and communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, a Ukrainian delegation headed by the National Bank governor and the Minister of Finance will leave for Washington on October 8 to attend the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and meetings with foreign investors.

According to Yatseniuk, within joint consultations it is planned "to adapt our program with international financial institutions to current realities and attract additional resources so that Ukraine could develop economically to overcome this very difficult period."
