If Russia complied with Minsk agreements, U.S. could lift some sanctions - Nuland
The United States could cancel a number of sanctions against Russia if Moscow complied with the provisions of the Minsk agreement dated September 5, said U.S. Assistant State Secretary Victoria Nuland has said.
If the Minsk agreement were put into life the way they were written, then the United States could start to lift some sanctions from Russia, she said at a meeting with students in Kyiv on Tuesday.
At the same time, Nuland said that the implementation of the Minsk agreements signed on September 5 was the best hope for bringing peace to Ukraine's east.
The assistant state secretary added the U.S. insisted on the full implementation of the provisions of Minsk agreements.
