Poroshenko says he has no disagreement with government on issue of reform
The cessation of reforms would be disastrous for the country, and the president and the government are united in the need to conduct them, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"There is no disagreement and no discrepancy between the president and the government, between the president and the prime minister. We are doing one job and implementing the same reforms. It is symbolic that we're both here today… The cessation of reforms would be disastrous for Ukraine. The government and I understand this," he said at a meeting with representatives of the companies that are part of the European Business Association and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine in Kyiv on Thursday.
Poroshenko noted that on Ukraine's road to membership of the EU there are a lot of transformations and a variety of vital and necessary reforms.
