European Commission fully committed to contributing to peaceful solution of Ukraine crisis– Barroso
The European Commission remains fully committed to contributing to a peaceful solution of the Ukraine crisis, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has said in a letter sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"In this respect we hope that the recent positive steps embodied in the Minsk Protocol of September 5 and the ensuing memorandum from September 19 will be fully implemented, including the monitoring of the Ukrainian-Russian state border and its verification by the OSCE, and the withdrawal of all foreign armed formations and military equipment from Ukrainian territory," Barroso said in the letter.
