Premier proposes to suspend health minister, dismiss his first deputy Saliutin
Ukrainian Premier Arseniy Yatseniuk has proposed to suspend Oleh Musiy as incumbent Health Minister of Ukraine, and to dismiss his first deputy Ruslan Saliutin for failure to ensure tender procurements of required medicines.
"I propose the government make a decision: to suspend the health minister from his duties, and to dismiss his first deputy minister Saliutin," he said before a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to the premier, the ministry managed to fulfill just 25% of necessary procurements despite dozens of orders being made.
"The Health Ministry and the Finance Ministry have 21 days to complete the procedures of procurement," the premier said.
