A convoy of 100 trucks carrying humanitarian supplies from Germany is expected to arrive in Ukraine on October 6-7, deputy head of Ukraine's State Fiscal Service Anatoliy Makarenko has said.
"We are preparing to welcome a German convoy with humanitarian aid, construction materials and electricity generators on October 6-7," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The convoy is expected to enter Ukraine through the Yahodyn border checkpoint, he said.
"It is real humanitarian aid, not some 600,000 kilograms of tea. We are prepared to accept it," Makarenko said.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman said earlier that Germany was ready to send primary necessity items for the winter period.
Before November, Germany also plans to provide Ukraine with prefabricated homes ready for winter. Up to 4,000 people can live in such houses simultaneously.
