First stage of Wall project on Ukrainian-Russian border to end in Sept
The Ukrainian government portal has reported the construction of engineering facilities along the Ukrainian-Russian border under the Stina (Wall) project. The first stage of the works will be over on September 30.
The government has also decided to suspend the traffic through 16 out of 65 border checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
Earlier reports said the Ukrainian government compelled the Defense Ministry on September 10 to invest UAH 100 million allotted from the budget reserve fund in the state border reinforcement.
