Poroshenko hopes to meet Putin in Europe within three weeks
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he is hoping to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Poroshenko in Europe within three weeks.
"I hope to meet with Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] within three weeks. It will take place within a multi-party format, but it may also involve bilateral consultations, and it will be held in Europe. Tentative agreements have already been achieved," he told a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"It will depend on the success of the implementation of the peace plan. It will depend on the format, whether it will be Normandy or Geneva or any other format, and it will also depend on the circumstances," the president said.
