Poroshenko, Kerry discuss deeper cooperation on defense, security
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko met with United States Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington on Thursday.
During the meeting, Poroshenko thanked the U.S. for its invariable support, the Ukrainian president's press office said.
"The parties discussed the results of the ceasefire agreements reached in Minsk and the steps being made by Ukraine's president to implement his peace plan," the statement said.
The pair also discussed how to deepen cooperation on security and defense and further macro-financial aid for Ukraine, the press office said.
