Yatseniuk: Peace in Donbas should be established based on ukrainian peace plan
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that peace in Donbas region should be established based on the ukrainian peace plan.
"The peace must established, not on the basis of the Russian president's plan, but based on the ukrainian plan, which should be backed by the U.S. and the EU, because we won't cope with Russia on our own, because they will [try to] trick us," Yatseniuk said opening a government meeting on Friday.
He said that peace should come to Donbas and that three principal conditions should be met for this: the ceasefire, the removal of the Russian troops and rebels from the territory of Ukraine and the restoration of Kyiv's control of the Ukrainian-Russian border.
