Poroshenko: Situation is difficult, but Ukrainian martial spirit is stronger than that of invaders

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held an expanded meeting of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff attended by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov, the presidential press service said.

Military commanders informed the audience about the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The situation is difficult, but the Ukrainian martial spirit is stronger than that of the invaders. We are defending our land," the president said.
