Drinking water supplies to east of Luhansk region thwarted by power cuts
The eastern part of the Luhansk region is experiencing difficulties with drinking water supplies after the fourth tier of the Western filter station in Alchevsk lost power due to the ongoing hostilities.
"Power supplies stopped at the fourth tier of the Western filter station in Alchevsk, which delivers water to Brianka, Stakhanov, Pervomaisk and Petrovsky district in the Luhansk region, thus thwarting the supply of drinking water to the eastern part of the region," National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing on Tuesday.
