Poroshenko: early parliamentary election scheduled for October 26

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has announced that the early parliamentary election will take place on October 26, 2014.

"The election of a new parliament is scheduled for October 26, 2014," he said in his address to the nation on Monday.

As was reported, President Poroshenko had earlier issued an order to disband the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation ahead of schedule.
