Merkel to meet with Crimea Tatars, Ukrainian city mayors
During her visit to Ukraine on Saturday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet with the mayors of Kyiv, Donetsk, and Lviv and representatives of Crimean Tatars, German mass media reported on Friday with reference to German government spokesman Steffen Seibert.
The chancellor's visit to Kyiv is "evidence of support" of Ukraine during the crisis, he said.
As was reported, Merkel is to visit Kyiv on an official visit on August 23 at the invitation of the Ukrainian side. As part of her visit, Merkel is to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.
