Russian trucks with humanitarian aid start moving, without consent of Kyiv and not escorted by Red Cross
A convoy of trucks carrying Russian humanitarian aid has started moving to the Ukrainian Izvaryne checkpoint in Luhansk region, not escorted by the International Committee of the Red Cross and without the consent of the Ukrainian side, a source in the Ukrainian government has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The column started moving on its own, without the consent of the Ukrainian side and not escorted by the Red Cross," the source said on Friday.
The source noted that Russian trucks were moving to the Izvaryne checkpoint, which is not controlled by the Ukrainian side.
Earlier, an Interfax correspondent reported from the scene that a convoy of 34 KamAZ trucks with humanitarian aid for eastern Ukraine had crossed into Ukraine.
