Ukrainian Interior Ministry, National Guard lose 16 servicemen in Ilovaisk battle
Anton Heraschenko, an advisor of the Ukrainian interior minister, has reported the death of 16 servicemen of the Interior Ministry and the National Guard in the battle of Ilovaisk in Donetsk region.
"So, 16 out of 64 soldiers or 25% of all soldiers of special battalions of the Interior Ministry and the National Guard who had died in the entire ATO period were killed near Ilovaisk. This is a proof of how fierce that fighting is," Heraschenko wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
He said the Ukrainian battalions had had big losses: Donbas had lost eight men killed and twelve wounded, Azov had two killed and seven wounded or five dead and eleven wounded since the beginning of the fight for Ilovaisk, Shakhtarsk had four killed and 16 wounded, including two severely, and Dnipro had two killed and seven wounded.
