Ukrainian parliament to ratify agreement with EU in near future - Turchynov
The Verkhovna Rada will ratify the Association Agreement with the European Union in the near future, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has said.
"Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov states that in the near future the Ukrainian parliament will ratify the Association Agreement with the European Union," the press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported on Monday, citing an interview Turchynov had with Baltic news agency BNS.
"The Ukrainian people have made their choice - European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and no aggression from Russia will stop us," he said.
According to the schedule of the Verkhovna Rada, the parliament will hold its next plenary meeting on Tuesday, September 2.
As reported, on that day MPs will close the fourth session of the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation and will open the fifth session.
