Switzerland imposes additional limitations on arms exports to Russia, Ukraine
The Swiss Federal Council has imposed additional limitations on military exports to Russia, the Swiss government said in a communique.
The communique said it had been decided to expand the ban on exports of military hardware to Russia and Ukraine but did not specify the hardware types.
The Swiss authorities also decided to prevent the evasion of EU sectoral sanctions against Russia via Switzerland.
The communique said Switzerland would take additional steps in order to prevent the use of the Swiss territory for the evasion of the sanctions. The Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs was instructed to draw up measures towards that end and to present them for approval shortly.
