Russian humanitarian aid convoy not certified by Red Cross - NSDC
The Russian humanitarian aid convoy has not received the International Committee of the Red Cross's certification, Spokesman for Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Andriy Lysenko has said.
"The motor vehicles being prepared by the Russian side belong to the military. International law forbids law enforcement services from accompanying humanitarian convoys," Lysenko said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said ICRC experts are to decide within a week what the contents of the convoy will be, where its route will run and other organizational issues.
This Russian convoy "is not a convoy certified by the ICRC," Lysenko said.
